Bonham -- Jazz was born in the U.S., so what better way to celebrate the birth of this great country than by enjoying a free concert by an outstanding jazz band?

Bois d'Arc Dixieland Jazz Band will perform their annual free 4th of July concert at The Woodmoore Assisted Living Community and the public is invited.  In fact, there will be hotdogs for the public, beginning at noon July 4 and jazz at 2:00 p.m.

Bois d'Arc Dixieland Jazz Band specializes in crowd-pleasing favorites such as Hughie Cannon's 1902 classic, "Bill Bailey, Won't You Please Come Home" and "Sweet Georgia Brown," a jazz standard from the Roaring 20s.

The Woodmoore Assisted Living Community is located at 1200 West Russell Street in Bonham.
