Denison – The congregation at Red River Unitarian Universalist Church will welcome the Rev. Nathan Walker, minister of the First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia, via a video sermon, who will discuss “Are You The 1%?” at the 11:15 a.m. service. Of his sermon, he writes, “"What does justice-making look like, feel like, when we receive hostile communication? Are we hostile in return? Or is something else required of us? What we choose to do is a reflection of who we believe ourselves to be. It all depends on our beliefs about power.”

The Adult Forum, which meets at 10 a.m. and is open to the public, will continue a discussion of theology and world religions. This Sunday the focus will be on Buddhism, Hinduism, Baha'i and Jainism.

Unitarian Universalism, often called the Uncommon Denomination, welcomes all who seek a faith community where one is not told what to believe and where diversity of thought is encouraged. Red River UU is located at 515 North Burnett Ave, Denison. Following the service, people gather in the Soul Café on the first floor for food and fellowship. Guests are encouraged to come and visit.
