Stories for the twelfth volume in the Telling Our Stories series of autobiographical stories by local writers will be chosen this summer.  The theme is “Family Food Tales.”

Anyone who has entered a story in one of the TOS annual contests will be eligible to submit a story for consideration.  Stories should be approx. 750-1500 words in length.  The deadline for submission is June 30, 2012.

Suitable topics would include gardening and harvesting produce, favorite recipes handed down for generations, learning how to cook, and memorable meals.

Each writer may submit only one story, and electronic copies sent as attachments to email are preferred.  However, computer printed or typewritten stories, double spaced in a plain text that is easy to read will be considered.  No handwritten copies and no poetry will be accepted.

The book will be published October 10, 2012.  Every writer who has a story printed in the book will receive a free copy. To submit a story or obtain more information, call 903-893-6041 or send an email to: jlincecum@me.com
