Honey Grove, Texas -- Bertha Tyler, age 84, of Honey Grove, TX quietly entered her heavenly home Monday, November 21, 2011.  Funeral services will be held Friday, November 25, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Selfs Church of Christ with Preston Boles and Emery Banker officiating. 

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Newhouse, David Newhouse, Bill Partridge, Jon Gammon, Paul Newhouse, Sammy Dalton and Steve Meade. 

Named as honorary pallbearers are Jack Clawson, Danny Clawson, Larry Dobbs, Clarice Banker, Henry McElroy and Robert Tyler. 

Interment will follow at  Allens Point Cemetery.  Family visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Selfs Church of Christ.

Nancy Bertha (Green) Tyler was born August 31, 1927 at Mullen, TX in Mills County to James Kirk Green and Mary Ann (Pyburn) Green.  Bertha married Volney Ray Tyler May 28, 1960 in Corpus Christi, TX.  She is preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, one son, Randy Dean Jones, three brothers and four sisters.  Bertha was a homemaker and active in her beloved church.

Bertha Tyler is survived by her husband Ray of the home, Sons and Daughters-In-Law, Kenneth and Janet Jones of Honey Grove, TX, Larry and Sabrina Jones of Garland, TX, and Lynn and Rita Jones of Honey Grove.  She is further survived by twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; Brothers and Sisters-In-Law, James and Jackie Tyler, Wayne and Marty Tyler, Casey and Frances Howard, Sister-In-Law, Lillie Belle Green and first cousin Helen Pyburn; a host of nieces and nephews and her beloved church family.
