Tickets and reserved tables are on sale now for the seventh annual “Justice Is Served.”  The event to benefit the Fannin County Children’s Center will be held on Saturday, Sept. 10 starting at 6:30 pm at the Multi-Purpose Complex two miles west of Bonham.

A new activity this year is the “James Bond Challenge.”  Texas Firearms Training Academy has graciously volunteered to run a BB gun shooting contest.  The two rifles to be used in the contest are the same kind of BB gun used in the classic movie “The Christmas Story” only one of the rifles for the contest is pink.  For five dollars, guests can purchase five shots and try to win prizes and bragging rights.  All of the money raised will go to the Children’s Center.  Texas Firearms Training Academy is donating a concealed handgun class as a top prize for the contest as well as both rifles, which will be auctioned off after the contest is over.

This year’s theme is “Denim and Diamonds.”   Guests are encouraged to wear dressy or sparkly clothes, their starched jeans or a combination of both.

Texas Star Barbeque from Bonham will be catering the event.  Local judges, prosecutors and other officials in the justice field will be serving up the meal buffet style.

The event will once again include a live and silent auction.  Auctioneer Tom Willess will be calling for bids in the live auction.   Auction items include two round-trip tickets to anywhere Southwest Airlines flies, a wine tasting for six from Lenoir-Sage Vineyards in Bells, a gift certificate for a massage from HopeStone Spa in Bonham, leather purses and wallets from Rebirth Leather in Honey Grove and ten yards of top soil from Stephens Sand and Gravel in Bailey.  Tickets to Six Flags, Sea World, Hawaiian Falls, Texas Rangers Baseball game and FC Dallas Soccer game are just some of the other items to be auctioned off.  Gift certificates to restaurants that will be in the auction include Windom Feed Sack, Hickory Bar-B-Q, Rick’s Chop House, Sauces on the Square, Bun Donut, Panera Bread, Chick-fil-A and Texas Star Barbeque .  Other items include gift baskets, home baked goodies, hand-made items and other unique treasures.  A preview list of auction items is posted on the agency website (www.fanninccc.org) and is being updated frequently.

Rosa Gomez donated a large metal star with “God Bless Texas” to the auction at the seventh annual “Justice Is Served” to raise funds for the Children’s Center.

Proceeds will help sustain the Children’s Centers services, which include CASA and the Children’s Advocacy Center.  CASA provides abused children a caring, concerned, trained volunteer to advocate for them while they are involved in the court system.  The Children’s Advocacy Center coordinates a multidisciplinary approach to the investigation, prosecution and treatment of crimes against children.

Individual tickets are $35 in advance.  Reserved table sponsorships are also available for two, four or ten people.   For tickets or more information, call (903) 583-4339 or visit www.fanninccc.org.
