McKinney, Texas – Carter BloodCare is hosting a blood drive at Medical Center of McKinney, 4500 Medical Center Drive, on Thursday, July 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The mobile donation center will be parked in front of the hospital.

Being a blood donor is safe, simple, and very fulfilling. Donors can help as many as three to four different patients with just one donation. Blood cannot be manufactured. Individuals who give blood assure an adequate supply is available - possibly saving someone's life.

Potential donors must be at least 16 years old, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good general health.  People who present to give blood should eat a nourishing meal before donating and must bring a photo ID. For more information about donor eligibility, call Carter BloodCare at 1-800-DONATE-4 or visit carterbloodcare.org.

No appointment necessary. Walk-ins welcome.
