Fort Worth, Texas  – Susan G. Komen for the Cure Greater Fort Worth Affiliate announced today that the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo will go pink in honor of breast cancer survivors on January 25.

The legendary Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo will host this breast cancer awareness day for the 5th consecutive year. Rodeo contestants, fans and breast cancer survivors will all wear pink in an effort to raise awareness of the disease.

Through the partnership with the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, Susan G. Komen will receive 50% of the proceeds from the general admission and rodeo ticket sales on January 25. Last year, the Stock Show raised $12,347.67 for Komen Greater Fort Worth.

On January 25th, breast cancer survivors will be treated to a Pink Ribbon Roundup Reception, sponsored by Cancer Treatment Centers of America, from noon – 7 p.m. in the Amon G. Carter Cactus Room. In addition, survivors will receive a free ticket to the evening’s 7:30 p.m. rodeo performance. At the reception, breast cancer survivors and their families will enjoy refreshments, meet rodeo contestants and receive a special gift.
