Denison -- Anytime the Pottsboro Lady Cards tangle with their next-door neighbor Denison Lady Jackets, fans are in for an exciting match. That certainly was the case Tuesday night.
This one was fun from the start as Pottsboro slipped by Denison a 25-23 in the opener.
Determined not to let this match get away from them early, Denison answered with an impressive 25-19 victory in game two.
Pottsboro was even more convincing in a solid 25-17 win in game three.
Denison came out on top, 25-22, in the fourth game to send the teams back out onto the court for the tiebreaker.
This time, Denison had no answer for the Pottsboro firepower as the Class 2A Lady Cardinals hammered out a 15-6 win to take the match away from their Class 4A opponent.
Pottsboro will compete in pool play at the 2010 Whitesboro Invitational Volleyball Tournament Thursday, September 2 and then the Lady Cards will travel to take on Princeton on Friday, September 3.
