UNT alum and former North Texas quarterback Jordan Case, president of Park Place Lexus, and North Texas head football coach Todd Dodge co-hosted the Ultimate Tailgate Party. Case introduced Hough and presented her the keys to a 2010 Lexus IS C convertible, Julianne’s favorite ride for a tailgate party. Nearly 100 people attended the event that featured delicious tailgating fare by Rudy’s and Lone Oak Catering. Guests enjoyed a special Lexus lemonade and an array of desserts.
Hough just wrapped production on the movie “Burlesque,” which also stars Christina Aguilera, Cher, and Stanley Tucci. The movie will come out Thanksgiving 2010. Having recently completed recording her second full length album, Hough will be touring throughout the summer and opening for Sugarland during their U.S. tour.
The new stadium at UNT will replace 57-year-old Fouts Field, and will be the first collegiate football stadium designed by award-winning HKS Inc. Architects, the firm that designed the new Dallas Cowboys stadium. The university will be seeking Gold LEED certification, one of the highest levels of sustainable achievement. UNT likely will have the first college football stadium with a Gold LEED designation.
UNT athletic director Rick Villarreal and others invited Hough to return to North Texas next fall to sing the National Anthem at one of the UNT home football games.
