Texas Business Women Region 7 Conference Spring Awards banquet held in Bonham

Bonham, Texas - The Texas Business Women Region 7 Conference Spring Awards banquet was held in Bonham, Texas at the Bonham Golf Club by the local TBW, formerly known as Business and Professional Women (BPW), on Saturday, April 24, 2010 with a catered lunch at Café on the Green.

The theme was “Dream On So You Can Imagine More,” with Region 7 Director Lana Bernardin kicking off the conference by calling the meeting to order and making introductions.

Special guest was Bonham City Manager Corby Alexander, who gave an inspiring speech and welcomed all the out of town guests to our beautiful city.

Karyn Jones led the audience in a recital of the “Collect” and “Pledge of Allegiance." Judy Teller, Myrtis Williams and Tammy Skidmore Rich welcomed Texas Business Women members who traveled from as far away as Wichita Falls, Sherman and Gainesville to attend the conference.  The local Fannin County Texas Business Women were presented with the traveling attendance award that is given each year to the group that has the most members in attendance.

Texas Business Woman of Fannin County meet every 2nd and 4th Monday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. for a catered lunch at the Elizabeth May Room located next to American Bank in Bonham and we welcome you to our meetings.

Texas Business Women formerly known as Business and Professional Women was established in 1981 in Fannin County (29 years) Present Members are: Myrtis Williams (Williams Construction) serving as Club President, Tammy Rich (Fannin County Clerk) as President-Elect, Jessica Kirkpatrick (Legend Bank) as 1st Vice President, Sharron Cox (Moss & Cox Attorney at Law) as 2nd Vice President, Maria Hix (Meade-Norman Insurance) as Secretary, Judy Teller (Floyd Enterprises) as Treasurer and Ruth Ann Moore (Fannin Bank) as Parliamentarian, Lou Norman (Meade-Norman Insurance, Elizabeth May (American Bank), Cheryl Eason-Peeler (UMR Company) Andrea Wells (Fannin Bank) Stacy Moore (Fannin Newspapers) and Paulette Andrew (Fannin Bank)

Texas Business Women is a state organization whose mission is to provide resources for leadership, networking and advocacy to empower women to succeed personally and professionally.
