Wolfe City Wolves 14, Trenton Tigers 9

The Trenton Tigers took a 4-0 lead after two innings, but the Wolfe City Wolves erupted for eight runs in the top of the third to take the lead for good in this contest.

Trenton came back with three runs in the bottom of the third to get within one run, 8-7.

The Wolves plated a pair of runners in the top of the fourth frame to stretch their advantage to 10-7. 

At the end of the sixth inning, Wolfe City was up 11-9.  The Wolves tacked on three more runs in the top of the seventh and picked up a 14-9 win.

Wolfe City's Zach Williams went 2-for-3 with a double and four runs batted in. Kory Wilkinson was 2-for-4, including a double, and had two RBIs. Dondre Wright had a home run and knocked in two runs. Tyler Deary went 2-for-5 with a double.      Colt Herron was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI. Ryan Smith went 2-for-4.

For Trenton, Wyatt Beezley was 2-for-3 and drove in three runs. Dylan Blaylock had a triple and knocked in one run.

Colt Herron (2-0) picked up the win for Wolfe City. Ryan Smith pitched three innings of middle relief and Kory Wilkinson came on to pitch the final two innings.

Trenton's Derek Meyer took the loss. Blaylock and Justin Hinton each pitched a couple of innings of relief.

Wolfe City (8-3) will host the Yantis Owls Tuesday, March 23 at 4:30 p.m.
