2010 Census forms mailed this week
Volunteers will be at various community events during Census Week reaching out to the community and encourage participation with the Census. From Census Sunday on March 21 to a free cook-out at Old Settler’s
The Census estimates that every family of four that does not fill out the census costs
In March, every household should receive the 2010 Census form to fill out along with a postage-paid return envelope. Census workers will visit households that do not return the forms to take a count in person after April 15.
Answers are protected by law and are strictly confidential. By law, the Census Bureau cannot share an individual’s answers with anyone, including welfare and immigration agencies, and even the White House.

Sunday, March 21 - Census Sunday
Faith based organizations will bring the Census message to their congregations.
Tuesday, March 23
9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Salvation Army Food Pantry – Census information will be provided.
Wednesday, March 24
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Student Life at
Thursday, March 25
9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Salvation Army Food Pantry (same as above)
6:30 – 8 p.m.: UNIDOS/P.R.I.D.E. meetings at
Saturday, March 27 - Census Awareness Day
12 p.m. to 2 p.m.: Hot Dog Cookout at Old Settler’s
Free food, fun and music provided by a DJ during the event! 2010 Census Complete Count Committee will be on hand out Census information.
