Russell L. “Russ” Geiger, age 54, of McKinney, Texas passed away March 8, 2010. He was born January 26, 1956 in Shelby County, Tennessee to John and Edna Mae (Tanner) Geiger. On July 17, 1988 he married Mary Elaine King Coe in Yuma, Arizona.  He proudly served in the United States Navy where he was a Nuclear Engineer for twenty years. Russ was currently employed with Environmental Engineering and Geotechnics, Inc. in Dallas and formerly employed with Allied Barton doing contract work for Texas Instruments. 

He is survived by his wife, Mary Geiger of McKinney, Texas; children, Michael Geiger and wife, Jeralee of Veneta, Oregon, Christina Geiger and Joshua Geiger both of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Adreanna, Lexie and Katelyn; mother, Alice Geiger of Ft. Worth, Texas; brothers, Steve Geiger and wife, Riesalee of Spring, Texas, Glenn Geiger of Little Rock, Arkansas.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Edna Geiger and brother, Richard Geiger.  

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, March 13, 2010, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel.  

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
