Bonham, Texas -- Richard Don Manhart passed from this life into eternity on his forty-fifth birthday, Thursday, February 4, 2010 at his home in Bonham, TX.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Bonham. Rev. Morgan Malone will conduct the service with the assistance of Rev. Bill Beasley. Interment will follow at Windom Cemetery.

Richard Don Manhart was born February 4, 1965 in Ft. Worth, TX to parents Don and Shirley Manhart. He graduated from Bonham High School in 1983 and was a member of the Bonham Warrior Football Team. Richard farmed and ranched with his family in the Bonham area. He was devoted to his family, especially his son Jordan, and his friends, which included the self-proclaimed “Pond Scum” group, and he loved hunting and fishing. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bonham.

He is survived by parents Don and Shirley Manhart of Bonham; son Jordan Lee Manhart of Bonham and Jordan’s sister Kristin Ruble of Ft. Worth; sister Kathy Manhart Webster of Commerce, TX and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Mike Porter, Myles Porter, Dean Richardson, Michael Priddy, Ross Ford, and Bobby Danner.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Johnson, Kyle Porter, Todd Ford, Scott DeWoody, Sean Floyd, Jimmy Wiggins, Jerry Wilson, and Joe D. Clark.

Family visitation is scheduled for Friday, February 05, 2010 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home from 6-8 P.M.
