The First United Methodist Church of Bonham, 801 Star is planning a series of community-wide events for Lent, the 40-day period of repentance and renewal preceding Easter Starting with Ash Wednesday Service at 6:00 p.m. in the Church Fellowship Hall.

Rev. Liz Talbert will be leading  a special Lenten Bible Study over 1 Cor.  The first study will be held Thursday Feb.18 at Noon in the Church Fellowship Hall for 1 hour , then the study will be each week on Monday noon until the end of March.

The Church will be holding special Lenten services on Sunday beginning Feb. 21 to help Christians renew and strengthen their faith by recalling the Easter story and absorbing it's meaning.

Special services are being planned for Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday and Good Friday , Sunrise Easter Service  on Easter Morning and  the 10:30  Church Easter Service.
