Mansfield, TexasMethodist Mansfield Medical Center’s mammographic imaging service was awarded accreditation by the American College of Radiology (ACR), based on the results of a recent survey.

“We are honored that the excellent services and high-practice standards our staff provides were affirmed by the national ACR,” says Director of Radiology Lisa Smith. “The mammographic imaging services are fully accredited and demonstrate that only the highest-quality patient care is provided at Methodist Mansfield.”

During the ACR accreditation process, board-certified physicians who are experts in the field conduct a peer-review evaluation of the practice.  They also assess personnel qualifications, facility equipment, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs.

The ACR is a national organization serving more than 32,000 diagnostic and interventional radiologist, radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine, and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging, radiation oncology, and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.
