11-23-09 Deputy Baxter responded to a burglary of a motor vehicle call on Bois d’ Arc Street in Bailey. The complainant told Baxter that her vehicle had been burglarized and a hand held game had been stolen from the glove compartment of the vehicle, which was unlocked. Loss was $180.00.
11-27-09 Deputy Walker responded to a Terroristic Threat call on Highway 11 near Whitewright. When Walker arrived he was told by the complainant that he and his son had been in a verbal argument. The complainant told Deputy Walker that his son had threatened to kill him. According to information supplied by the father this was an ongoing problem with his son. Both individuals were interviewed, as was another individual at the scene. Subsequent to the interviews the son was arrested for a class B misdemeanor charge of Terroristic Threat. The subject was transported to the Fannin County Jail without incident.
11-27-09 Deputy Williams responded to a Main Street address in Bailey regarding an alleged assault. Deputies had been to the same location approximately 2 hours prior to this call regarding a domestic violence complaint. Four different individuals were interviewed during the second call. After speaking with the original complainant and the other 3 parties, 1 female was arrested for class C assault and issued 2 citations; 1 for class C family violence, 1 for possession of drug paraphernalia. The 4 individuals at the residence told the deputies that every one of the occupants at the residence either smoked marijuana or methamphetamine. All the residents gave deputies written permission to search the residence for illegal drugs. Although no drugs were located deputies did find drug paraphernalia. A handheld game was located during the search that closely resembled the one stolen approximately 4 days earlier from a resident in Bailey. The arrested female was transported to the Fannin County Jail without incident.
11-28-09 Sergeant Barker responded to the Coffee Mill Lake boat ramp in regard to a disturbance in progress call. Sergeant Barker, Deputy Costa and Deputy Garrison arrived on scene. Barker met with the original complainant. The complainant and 1 witness told Barker that an individual had assaulted the complainant and that the suspect had left the scene and gone to a travel trailer that was located close by. Sergeant Barker found the trailer where the suspect was located. The suspect, along with 2 other individuals, was interviewed. During the interview of the suspect and the witnesses it was determined that the suspect had been the aggressor in the fight. The suspect, too, was injured and was transported to Red River Regional Hospital by Bonham EMS. He was treated by Red River Regional medical staff then released. The suspect was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily injury. The suspect was transported to the Fannin County Jail without incident.
11-28-09 Deputy Robinson contacted a female complainant at the Sheriff’s Office regarding an alleged assault. The complainant told Deputy Robinson that her boyfriend had assaulted her and threatened to kill her. She stated that her boyfriend had left the residence on the 28th and this was the only opportunity she had to leave the residence to report the assault. The complainant told the deputy that she and her boyfriend began to argue over money problems. She said her boyfriend struck her numerous times while she was in the vehicle with him and continued to physically assault her after they arrived at their residence. She stated that the boyfriend would not let her leave the residence and that he made numerous threats to kill her with a shotgun. The complainant had visible signs of trauma to her body. Photographs were taken of the victim’s injuries. Case is under investigation and an arrest warrant will be sought for the suspect.
11-30-09 Deputy Costa responded to a burglary report on Mitchell Drive in Bonham. The complainant told Costa that some unknown subject(s) had entered her home and stolen a flat screen television and a home theater system. The complainant told deputy Costa that her residence was locked when she left on the 25th. She told deputy Costa that her front door was still locked when she returned home, but the back door was open. According to the complainant, there were two individuals that knew she would be gone from her home and one of them lived out of state. Deputy Costa could not locate any sign of forced entry on any of the doors or windows at the home. Case is under investigation.
