By media release
Nov 29, 2009
Quanah, Texas -- On Saturday, December 12, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. there will be an action pistol shoot at the Rock Hill Arms range near Quanah, Texas.
"We shoot for fun, bragging rights, and a little teasing, too," said Range Safety Officer Doug Holbert. "The shoot is open to all defensive and action pistol shooters as well as those who want to learn."
Shooters may participate in open class, senior class (age 60+), women's class and youth class (age 17 and under).
If you don't have a handgun, there are guns to rent from the shop, and some shooters have extra pieces and will be glad to loan them for the day.
Ear and eye protection are available at the shop. All shooters are under the direct supervision of the Range Safety Officer and all aspects of safety are observed at all times. Children are assisted by the parent/guardian or an experienced shooter to ensure safe
practices.
The top three shooters in each class will be awarded a ribbon and, if there is enough interest among the participants, there will be an additional jackpot shoot. In addition to the Saturday December 12 event, shoots are set for Jan 9, 2010, March 6, 2010, and April 3, 2010.
Entry fee for the action shoot is $10.00 or $8.00 for range members. Please ask about becoming a range member with an annual membership.
