Bells -- The Ector Eagles flew out to a 6-0 lead in this interesting season-opener between Ector and the Bells Panthers, but Bells answered with an 8-0 run and the Panthers had an 8-6 lead at the first buzzer.

Bells made it a 12-0 run and pushed their lead to 12-6 before Ector's Jacob Crowell cashed in a offensive rebound to make the score 12-8.  Crowell nailed a jump shot on the Eagles' next possession, however a pair of baskets by Bells point guard Kolby Milner allowed the Panthers to take a 23-16 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Ector had the deficit down to 37-32 going into the fourth quarter.  The Eagles got as close as three points down the stretch, but a determined Bells team held on to win, 53-45.

Bells post Bud Pedigo led all scorers with 12 points.  Nate Neal knocked down 10 points for the Panthers and Kolby Milner finished with nine points.

Jacob Crowell led Ector with 11 points, Brandon Richards put up nine points and Bradley Bingham added eight points.
