Bonham, Texas -- Funeral services for Rose Mary Osborne Dosser, 82, of Bonham, will be held at 2:00 PM Sat., Oct. 31, 2009 in Wise Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Lyn Holly will officiate.  Burial will follow in Willow Wild Cemetery.  Rose passed away Tuesday night, Oct. 27, 2009 at Red River Regional Hospital.

 

Rose was born April 27, 1927 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Hugh Miluin McCain and Florence Gammon McCain.  She married Roy Leeman Osborne who preceded her in death, Sept. 10, 1970.  Rose was a presser and supervisor at Bonham Manufacturing for 35 years and enjoyed her animals, gardening, and making yard ornaments.  She was a member of Boyd Baptist Church.  She was also a member of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries. 

 

 

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Linda Faye Osborne, two brothers, George Calvin McCain and Hugh Melvin McCain, a sister, Florence Evelyn Holmes and a grandson, John Thomas Osborne.

 

Surviving are ~

3 Sons:  Phillip Michael Osborne and wife, Freda; Roy Leeman Osborne, Jr. and wife, Glenda, and Joe Steven Osborne and wife, Tonja, all of Bonham

Sister:  Mildred Dora Cooksey of Silvis, Illinois

6 Grandchildren:  Kristi, Michael, Roy, Sabrina, Randy and Timmy

18 Great-Grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

 

Pallbearers will be Michael Osborne, Timmy Osborne, Troy Cox, Roy Osborne, Randy Osborne, and Dwain Walker. 

 

Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Roy, Bill McCain, Raymond Osborne and Jody Holmes.

 

The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday night.
