The Fannin County Sheriff's Office continues to search for a man from Bailey who has been missing for five days. Jack Randal Morris, 48, was reported missing by his family on the evening of Wednesday, August 12.
Wayne Walker, Chief Investigator for the Fannin County Sheriff's Office, says Morris was last seen at approximately 10:00 p.m. on August 12.
Law enforcement personnel would later find the vehicle Morris was reported to be driving. The vehicle was found approximately four miles from the missing man's residence, parked west of the intersection of FM271 and FM1550, near where the old Cotton Center cotton gin was once located.

While he was unable to discuss facts pertinent to the active case, Investigator Walker remains hopeful about Morris's well-being and optimistic that the missing man will be located soon.
Walker expressed appreciation for the 35-45 volunteers that scoured the area around the communities of Cotton Center and Hail this past weekend, searching for clues to Morris's disappearance.
Gary Hughes, an extended family member "ramrodded" the volunteer operation, Walker stated, and the investigator was also grateful for the members of the Ivanhoe VFD and Dodd City VFD that joined the search in large numbers. Several other area agencies also participated.
"Those people really worked hard!" exclaimed Walker.
Through the assistance of Texas Ranger Brad Oliver, a fixed wing aircraft was also brought in for an aerial search.
