Ivanhoe, Texas -- Memorial services with military honors for Elbert Dewey "Red" Collinsworth, age 77 of Ivanhoe, TX will be held from 10:30 A.M. until 12:00 on Thursday July 2, 2009 at the Telephone Community Center, with a family lunch following. He passed away at his residence on June 26, 2009. 

Elbert Collinsworth was born in Renner TX, on December 2, 1931 to the late Dewey and Agnes Collinsworth of Mesquite, TX.  He married Jorene Sangster Collinsworth on March 28, 1959 in Gainesville, TX.  Mr. Collinsworth served in the U.S. Army and was a heavy equipment operator in waste management. 

Survived by his wife Jorene Sangster-Collinsworth of Ivanhoe, 6 children Carl Collinsworth of San Augustine, Fran Collinsworth of Monkstown, Danny Collinsworth of Ivanhoe, Sandra Smith of Ector, Tammy Collinsworth of Bonham, and James Collinsworth of Telephone. Fourteen grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, 2 stepsons, and 3 step-grandchildren. Brothers J.C. Collinsworth, and Dan Collinsworth, sisters Marilyn Masterson, Carolyn Large, and Sylvia Biggs. Preceded in death by parents, sisters Ann Collinsworth, and Wanda Jean Cagle. 

Military Honors provided by Commander Sonny Bingham and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4852 of Bonham, TX.
