When Alix Agan first stepped on the court at Trenton High School, Trenton head girls basketball coach Mike Jones knew that he had something special in this very quiet, blonde-headed player who transfered from Blue Ridge High School.
"I remember playing Alix her sophomore year while she was at Blue Ridge," states Coach Jones. "She was a scrappy player that you could tell had something special about her in the way she handled herself around the court."
Now Alix will take those special ingredients to the next level where she will trade the Red and Black of the Lady Tigers for the Forest Green and Orange of the Lady Comets. Alix has committed to University of Texas at Dallas where she will continue her education and basketball career.
While at Trenton, Alix scored 1025 points with an average of 15.8 points per game. She also averaged four assists, rebounds and steals per game. She was an All-District performer every year while in high school. Alix help guide the Lady Tigers to their first perfect regular season, 30-0, her junior year and their second district title. Additional honors include All-State, All-Texomaland, and she played in the 2nd Annual Dr. Al Hambrick All Star Basketball game where Alix had nine points to help guide the East Team to a 56-47 victory.
"I believe her best basketball is ahead of her," says Coach Jones. "As she is surrended by some outstanding talent in college, Alix's true skills will blossom and I really think she will become an impact player at some point for UTD. Not only is UTD getting a solid player in Alix, they are getting great student athlete. She will truly be missed and we wish her all the best."
