Bonham, Texas -- Funeral services for Gladys Nadine Howell Coonrod, 78, of Wylie, formerly of Bonham, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 27, 2009 in Wise Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Lyn Holly will officiate.  Burial will follow in Dodd City Cemetery.  Nadine passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Baylor Medical Center of Garland.

Nadine was born November 22, 1930 in the Lannius Community of Fannin County, Texas, daughter of John Irvin Howell and Hester Ada Dowell Howell.  She was a graduate of Bonham High School. 

Nadine married Raymond William “Dub” Coonrod who preceded her in death Dec. 30, 1986.  She was the manager of a dry cleaners for a number of years.  She was a member of Whiteshed Methodist Church in Fannin County for many years, and New Hope Christian Church in Wylie after she moved.  She enjoyed quilting and jewelry making.  Nadine was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are: 

Sons:  Billy Coonrod and wife, Tina and Bruce Coonrod and wife, Janice, all of Rowlett

           Bryan Coonrod of Wylie

Daughter:  Brenda Lay and husband, Bob of Royce City

Brother:  Price Howell of Bonham

Grandchildren:  Lacie and Benjamin Coonrod, Beau, Erin and Candice Coonrod, Bobby Lay and Ashley Lay, Ryan Coonrod, and Autumn Sanderson

Great-Grandchildren: Trystan Sanderson, Jordan Thompson and Chloe Coonrod

Pallbearers will be Robert Ford, Steve Wells, Ryan Coonrod, James Freeman, Bobby Lay, Beau Coonrod, Rudy Camacho and Ben Coonrod.

The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday night.
