Lea Roy Morrison, age 86, of Princeton, Texas, passed away June 22, 2009, in Princeton.  Lea Roy was born September 1, 1922, in McKinney, Texas, to Henry Joseph and Martha Matilda (Thomas) Morrison.  He married Dessie Tackett on January 16, 1943, in Forney, Texas.  Lea Roy grew up in Collin County and attended schools in Culleoka.  He was a carpenter, working for H. L. Knight for a number of years.  Lea Roy also enjoyed restoring furniture.  He was a member of Waddill Street Baptist Church in McKinney where he served as a deacon.

He is survived by his wife, Dessie of Princeton, Texas; daughter, Judy Donihoo, also of Princeton; grandchildren, Ken Donihoo and his wife, Vicki of Farmersville, Texas and Jeff Donihoo of Princeton, Texas; great-grandchildren, Zackery Donihoo of Farmersville, Texas, Christian Donihoo and Jeremy Donihoo, both of Princeton, Texas, and Tyler Pollock, also of Farmersville; brothers, Howard Morrison of McKinney, Texas and Henry “Junior” Morrison of Farmersville, Texas; sister, Bea Love of Gunter, Texas; and a host of other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Wilford Morrison, and sisters, Lola Mae Fort and Ethel Key.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 25, 2009, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas.  Interment will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmersville, Texas.  The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
