Braggin' on Texas, Sherrie S. McLeRoy's latest book, is now available in the museum store at the Red River Historical Museum, 301 S. Walnut, Sherman. This is McLeRoy's second "brag" book about Texas; the other, First in the Lone Star State: a Texas Brag Book, was published in 1998.
McLeRoy is the award-winning author of more than a dozen books and numerous magazine and newspaper articles about the history of Texas and her native Virginia. She was Director of the Red River Historical Museum for several years in the 1980's.
The museum store carries many of her books including Black Land, Red River, Mistress of Glen Eden, and Grape Man of Texas, her biography of T.V. Munson. Grape Man was named "Best Wine History Book in the World for 2004" by Gourmand World Cookbook Awards of Madrid, Spain.
