DURANT, Okla. - Don Hudson has been tapped to lead the Southeastern men's golf program following the departure of Paul Aycock, Athletics Director Keith Baxter has announced.

Hudson joins the Savage Storm following his retirement as the director of athletics at Pottsboro High School in Pottsboro, Texas., and will assume his new duties immediately.

"I am humbled that Keith [Baxter] would give me the opportunity to take over this program," said Hudson about his hiring, "We look to build a strong program that will well represent the University."

"We are excited about coach Hudson joining our athletic department," said Baxter, "He is a man of great character and integrity.

"He brings energy and excitement to our Golf program and we look forward to him joining our team."

Southeastern is just one-year removed from a trip to the NCAA Division II South Central Regional where they finished fourth place in 2008.

"We would like to thank coach Paul Aycock," continued Baxter, "For his service to both the University and athletic department and we wish him the best. Coach Aycock led our golf team to the Super Regionals in 08, the first time in the history of the program."
