Become a Texas AgriLife Master Gardener in 2009

Are you interested in learning more about gardening while helping to educate your neighbors and the Fannin County community?  

The Fannin County Master Gardeners conduct the Spring Garden, Lawn and Home Expo in March, currently are in the send year of a three-year Earth Kind Rose Trial at the Multi-Purpose Events Center,  conduct Rainwater Harvesting workshops,  Manage the Garden Showcase for the Fannin County Fair, and respond to questions from individuals in the community. 

The Fannin County Master Gardeners are a very active and exciting group.  If you would like to volunteer your time to one or more of these projects, becoming a Texas Master Gardener might Be just for you.

Texas AgriLife Extension Service is offering the Master Gardener training beginning Wednesday, August 12, and continuing every Wednesday through October 14, 2009. Classes will be from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and be held in Greenville at the Hunt County Extension Office.  Fannin County will be limited to sending 10 applicants to the training.  Applications are available at the Fannin County Extension office, in the South Annex, 210 South Main Street, Bonham. The deadline for applications to be turned into the Extension office is July 1, 2009.
