McKinney, TX –The Trinity River Desperados return to Chestnut Square Saturday and Sunday, May 30-31 and this time they're bringing Wyatt Earp!

As if their show last year wasn't exciting enough!

The Trinity River Desperados are coming back for the whole weekend on May 30-31 AND they're bringing their favorite gunslinger - Wyatt Earp from Tombstone, Arizona!  Wyatt is a grand-nephew of the original Wyatt Earp and joins the Desperados in their Cowboy Camp on Saturday.  On Sunday, he'll present two shows of "Wyatt Earp:  A Life on the Frontier at the McKinney Performing Arts Center at 4:00 and 6:00.

"This is the story Hollywood didn't tell," Wyatt shared in a recent interview.  "Wyatt Earp led a life of adventures!"

The show, written by Terry Earp, was the winner of the 1997 ariZoni Award for best original production and continues to be enjoyed by tourists visiting Tombstone, AZ.  The play has toured throughout the Southwest, Alaska, England, Ireland, Budapest, Hungary and Scotland.  "The Scotsman" a major Edinburgh newspaper gave the play a four-star review calling it an "authoritative cultural phenomenon."

On Saturday, May 30, the Desperados will set up their Cowboy Camp at the Farmers Market at Chestnut Square from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.  Visit with gunslingers, meet Wyatt Earp and  get your picture taken with him,  get your gunfighter card and more!

Look for the Trinity River Desperados and Wyatt Earp on the downtown McKinney Square during the Art & Jazz Festival Saturday afternoon.  All Cowboys need to eat lunch and hang out!

Sunday is the day to see gunfights at Chestnut Square!  The Desperados and Wyatt Earp will stage two gunfights at 1:30 and 3:00 p.m. and rob the stagecoach throughout the afternoon.  Will you be unlucky enough to be on the stagecoach when it gets robbed?

As always, admission is free to Living History Days.  Wyatt Earp pictures are $5. Stagecoach rides are $4.

A Cowboy Supper will be served on the grounds beginning from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Enjoy brisket from Hutchins BBQ and beans, coleslaw, rolls, cornbread, and fruit and cream pies made by our very own Dutch oven cooks!  Stay for dinner and then take in the show at the MPAC!
