The Dodd City Hornets started fast and finished strong and the result was an 8-6 win over the Bland Tigers.
Dodd City went up 4-0 in the first inning, but Bland scored three runs in the third inning to make it a one-run game. Bland took a 6-4 lead by plating three more runners in the top of the fifth frame.
The last scoring spree belonged to Dodd City, however, when the Hornets stung the Tigers by scoring four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to post an exciting 8-6 victory.
Ethan Stephens tied the game with a two-run home run to right center in the bottom of the seventh. Will Reed won the game with a two-run home run over the left field fence.
Will Reed got the win for Dodd City, while Bland's Michael Day took the loss.
