The Dodd City Hornets grabbed an early lead, but the Celeste Blue Devils rallied for an 11-6 win, thanks to a couple of big innings.
The Hornets were up 3-0 after the first inning, however the Blue Devils went on top 4-3 in the bottom of the second inning and never relenquished the lead.
Celeste plated a pair of runners in the third inning and stretched their advantage to 11-3 after five innings of play. Both teams added a run in the sixth inning and Dodd City came up with two more runs in the top of the seventh stanza, but that still left Celeste with a five-run win.
Justin Wright got the win for Celeste with some late-inning relief from Jose Amaro.
Dodd City freshman Jaylen Wallace got the loss.
Dodd City (5-8, 2-4) will host Trenton on Tuesday, April 7 at 6:00 p.m.
