On March 3, Park Place Motorcars Fort Worth unveiled the all-new 2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK luxury compact SUV. More than 250 people attended the event, which also served as the announcement party for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s 10th Annual 65 Roses Wine and Food Extravaganza.

Park Place Motorcars presented a $10,000 check to Kathy Mills, executive director of CFF. Joanie and Toby Darden, 65 Roses event chairs, were on hand to announce Lloyd and Rhonda Walsh as co-chairs of the October 21 charity event. "65 Roses" is what many children with cystic fibrosis (CF) call their disease because the words are much easier for them to pronounce. More information about the “65 Roses” story and CF is available at www.cff.org.

For the kickoff event Park Place Motorcars was transformed into a showcase of Fort Worth’s top culinary restaurants, including Piranha Killer Sushi, Café Aspen, Mac’s Steaks and Seafood, Rio Mambo Tex Mex y Mas, Michaels Cuisine and Ultimate Cuisine & Events.

Guests sipped the Crossover Cosmo, featuring Rain Organic Vodka, or the GLK Lemon Blast, a combination of Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka and lemonade, provided by Republic National Distributing. Trey and the Tritones entertained the crowd with their rendition of the classics. Additional event photos are online at http://tinyurl.com/GLKfw.
