Bells would finish out the Panther Classic in second place with a win over Caddo Mills on Saturday.  Cody Vaughn and Nate Neal would each have doubles for the Panthers.  Trey Pedigo would go 2-for-3 with an RBI.  Ryan Klose and Coltin Payne would each go 1 for 2 and have a RBI apiece for the Panthers.  Jordan Shults would get the win and Ryan Klose the save as Bells won 4-2 over the Foxes. Bells will start District 11-2A play on Tuesday as they host Howe at 7:00 pm.

Jordan Shults would draw the start for the Panthers with Reed Klose behind the plate.  Shults would go 4 and 1/3 innings, striking out four, walking 1 and allowing 7 hits.  Ryan Klose came in and pitched 2/3 of an inning and got the save for the Panthers.

Caddo Mills started the first inning with a double to left field and a fly out by the next batter would hold the runner at second.  A single would put runners on the corners for the Foxes.  The clean up hitter would single to score the runner from third.  Shults would then do a good pick off move and get the lead runner at second for two outs and then strike out the next batter to end the inning.

Cody Vaughn would lead off with a double over the center fielder’s head.  Nate Neal would fly out to left field and then Ryan Klose would have a RBI single to score Vaughn.  Trey Pedigo would fly out to second base and Coltin Payne grounded out to the pitcher for the third out.  The Panthers would tie it up 1-1 after the first inning.

Shults would get back to work on the mound for Bells in the second inning.  A walk would put a runner on base.  The Caddo Mills player tried to steal second, but catcher, Reed Klose, had other ideas, and would throw him out.  Shults would strike out the next batter, and Klose caught a foul tip for the third out.

In the second inning, Bells would advance a runner to second base when Reed Klose was hit by the pitcher and pinch runner Hunter Carr stole second base, but two strike outs and a ground out would end then inning.

In the third inning, Shults would get the first two batters to ground out, allow a single and the next batter would ground out to third base, leaving the runner at first.  Bells would have the top of their lineup up in the third inning.  Lead off, Vaughn would draw a walk and advance to second on a wild pitch.  Neal would fly out again to left field.  Ryan Klose took four straight balls for a walk to put two runners on for Pedigo, who would single to right-center field and score Vaughn.  Payne would line one up the middle to score Klose, before Joe Wright and Reed Klose would ground out to end the inning.  Bells would add two to the scoreboard and go up 3-1.

Shults would get the help of the Panther defense to start off the fourth inning.  Caddo Mills would have two straight ground outs to second baseman Joe Wright.  The Shults would allow two singles, but would hold the runners and strike out the last batter to end the inning.  The Panthers would go three up three down in the fourth with ground outs by Pate Pritchard and Casey Shelby and a fly out by Vaughn.
