Meet love agent, Jennifer Haskett.

More precisely, as the owner of a local speed dating service, http://www.luvagent.com/, Jennifer is something of a digital Cupid for lonely people in search of that certain special someone, but hesitant to believe something that beautiful can happen somewhere in a loud, smoky bar.

LuvAgent will be offering a series of March mixers, with the next event set for 6:00-9:00 p.m. March 7 at El Pueblo's Mexican Cafe at 1909 Texoma Parkway #103 in Sherman, Texas.

"Dress to impress," Jennifer is quick to point out.

Jennifer's experience with speed dating came from attending events and even co-hosting a few events some years ago in the Texarkana area when a friend needed help.

She had started eQpid.com,  an online dating site several months ago.  Jennifer really took an interest in reading people's likes and dislikes on Yahoo personals and sites such as Plenty of fish.

Everywhere, it seemed, people were really bummed out about the online dating experience; mainly the waste of time talking to someone for several months and then finding there is no chemistry when you finally get a chance to meet face to face.  Then came that tough decision about whether or not to start all over again.

So many people were also complaining about how difficult it was to meet single people in their towns.

"Some people don't attend church and then some churches are not quite big enough to have a big singles group," Jennifer explains.  "I remembered how much we all enjoyed the speed dating events several years ago and I thought, hey, why not do it here?  I found LuvAgent was available and decided thats a great name for a speed dating service."

There is no alcohol and no smoking allowed at LuvAgent events.

"Our first event under LuvAgent was on February 13, 2009 at Hampton Inn in Sherman," Jennifer recalls.  "We had 19 people: 10 guys and 9 girls.  Results were the ladies had 10 dates and the men had 9 dates in one night. Out of that, eight people were mutual matches and everyone had at least one person interested in them.  That was a major success for the first time up here."

"This speed dating service is locally owned," Jennifer adds.  "We live in Southmayd, Texas.  At the last event we had two people from Rockwall, one from Sulphur Springs, and one from Madill, so I think everyone could  benefit from this service.  We are always looking for a place to hold the events; it could really bring business to local owners and to whatever city we hold the event in."
