Roxton Lady Lions slip by Dodd City Lady Hornets, 47-46, in OT

The Dodd City Lady Hornets lost a nail-biter to The Roxton Lady Lions Tuesday night in overtime in Dodd City. 
 
At the end of the first quarter, Roxton led 9-6 and the Lady Lions were up by two points at the half, 17-15.  In the third quarter, Dodd City had a big run and ended on top 33-27 going into the finale. 
 
Roxton fought back and tied it up at the end of the 4th quarter.  In overtime Roxton scored seven quick points, but the Lady Hornets battled hard with Cassidi Rogers and Hailey Spindle knocking down big three-pointers, however Dodd City fell short in the end.  The final score was 46-47. 
 
Dodd City was led by senior Hailey Spindle with 17 points, senior Cassidi Rogers and Sophomore Morgan Hartnett each had 12, Sydnee Horton put in 3 and Sam McCarty added 2.  Roxton freshman Keema Franklin led all scorers with 28.
