THE BONHAM CITY COUNCIL WILL BE MEETING FOR THE PURPOSE OF REGULAR MEETING

 

DATE OF MEETING:                      January 12, 2009

TIME OF MEETING:                      5:30 P.M.                 

 LOCATION OF MEETING: Bonham City Hall - 301 East Fifth St. 

 

AGENDA

Call to Order and Invocation

 

1.         Minutes of the December 8th and 23rd meetings.

 

2.         Financial report for month ending December 31, 2008.  

 

3.         Citizens Opportunity to Speak:  [The City Council invites persons with comments or observations to briefly address the Council for the limited purpose of determining whether the matter should be referred to staff for study and response and/or be placed on a future meeting agenda.  State law prohibits the City Council from considering deliberations on any item not listed on the posted City Council Agenda.]

 

4.         Consider and take action to enroll in the CareFlite membership program.

 

5.         Consider and take action to approve amended Hotel/Motel Tax Expenditure Agreement with the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce.

 

6.         Consider and take action on a resolution establishing the Bonham Tourism Advisory Committee and appoint members to the committee.

 

7.         Consider and take action to approve an interlocal agreement with the Fannin County Commissioner’s Court for the construction and operation of the recycling center.

 

8.         Consider and take action to approve Change Order No. 1 to Water Distribution System Improvements – Contract B.

 

9.         Consider and take action on a settlement agreement between Ravenna-Nunnelee Water Supply Corporation and the City of Bonham in resolution of service territory dispute.

 

10.       Consider and take action to award bid for three-year agriculture lease at Jones Field Airport.

 

11.       Consider and take action to appoint candidates for the Fannin County Appraisal District Appraisal Review Board.

 

12.       Recess into closed executive session for consultation with attorney as permitted by Texas Government Code §551.071.

 

13.       Reconvene into open session and consider and take action, if necessary, on deliberations with attorney.

 

14.       Adjourn

 

The Bonham City Council hereby expresses its intention of considering, deliberating, and taking action on any item listed on this agenda unless specifically stated otherwise.
