The Bonham All-Stars broke open a scoreless tie with a pair of runs in the third inning and went on to eliminate Bells with a 5-1 victory.

Josh Curry's hit to centerfield got Bonham started and Ethan Hartwell walked.  A hard hit by Lane Fox brought Curry and Hartwell home for a 2-0 Bonham lead.  Fox later scored on a throwing error to push the advantage to 3-0.

Bells picked up a run in the bottom of the fourth when Bud Pedigo raced home to make it a 3-1 score, but Bonham relief pitcher Daine Dunlap worked out of a critical jam and kept his team in the driver's seat.

Dunlap helped his own cause by leading off with a single in the top of the fifth and Cody Alexander slammed the ball to centerfield, bringing Dunlap home.  Bonham's Dalton Cagle scored the game's last run in the sixth inning, giving Bonham a 5-1 win and setting up a 7:00 p.m. Thursday night showdown with an undefeated Whitewright team.  Bonham's only loss in the tourney came on a tough 2-0 loss to Whitewright.  If Bonham wins the Thursday night showdown, the teams will play the deciding game Friday with the winner earning a berth in the state tournament.

Bells pitcher Haden Clark starts forward with the ball.

The Bells catcher held onto the ball and prevented a first-inning score by Bonham.

Safe at first...

Trevor Allen hits the ball back up the middle.

Here it comes...

Bonham's Kellen Murphy pounds out a hit.
