Once again, downtown Jacksonville will be the place to be as the 3rd Annual J'ville Music Jam kicks off Saturday, October 4. The Jam will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. downtown Jacksonville on Commerce and Austin Streets.
This rockin' day of fun will contest of bands after bands, a food court, arts and crafts and information booths, Karaoke Contest Finals, a Battle of the Band competition, USACI triple point 'Sound Off' Competition and more great bands.
A new addition to the J'ville Music Jam is the Motorcycle Rally a fund raiser benefiting Crisis Center of Anderson and Cherokee Counties. Registration for the rally is $20.00 per person which includes all events and games. Early registration includes a T-Shirt and Rally pin and registration is available at www.jacksonvillerally.com.
Registration will begin that Saturday, October 4th, 8:30 a.m. at the Norman Activity Center, 526 E. Commerce. The Poker Run will begin at 9:00 a.m.; with the last bike out at 10:00 a.m. Rally events include a poker run, bike games, bike show and more.
The main stage lineup for the day will be One Knee Falls (winner of 2007 Battle of the Bands), 2008 Contest of Battle of the Bands, Rusty Lively & Deep in the Shed, Kasey Lansdale & the Daletones, Robert Banks & Band and the headliner Grant Cooks & Friends.
The second stage located inside the Norman Activity Center performers will be previous Karaoke Contest winners, the 2008 Karaoke Contest Finals, David Hendley, Bill McGee & Uncle Stick and Educators with an Attitude.
All of this fabulous fun is all FREE! It will not cost you a dime, nothing but your time and you will enjoy every minute spent downtown Jacksonville! Bring your lawn chair and come sit back and enjoy.
