Lindsay, Commerce, Trenton athletes named to Texas Sports Writers Association/Collin Street Bakery 2007 All-State Volleyball Team

For the Lindsay Lady Knights, the honors still roll in long after the books have been closed on a remarkable volleyball season.
In their second season of varsity volleyball, Lindsay landed three outstanding athletes on the Texas Sports Writers Association/Collin Street Bakery 2007 All-State Volleyball Team.

Lindsay senior Madisen Burrows, a setter for the Lady Knights, and middle blocker Chelsea Hermes, were named to the second team.

Receiving honorable mention were Hillary Baugh, a standout in several sports at Trenton, and Lindsay's gifted outside hitter, Kaylee Murphree.


2A 3rd team OS hitter Quitman outside hitter Andi Spears was selected for the Class 2A third team, along with Henrietta's Allie Whitehead.
Nocona libero Kristyn Weaver was a Class 2A honorable mention
In Class 3A, Whitesboro middle blocker Leticia Silva was named to the third team, while Commerce middle blockers Danielle Essex and Tatiana Booth were honorable mentions
Paris' high-flying Angela Robinson was placed on the Class 4A second team.
In 5A Plano West landed Shannon Hawari and Jordan Kirk on the first team
Coppell middle blocker Kayla Kirk was named to the second team, with Plano West setter Megan Murphy and Coppell middle blocker Jordan Raines earning slots on the third team.
