Michael Borne will be teaching Watercolor For Enjoyment at First Baptist Church of Prosper on five consecutive Saturdays; October 4, 11, 18, 25, and November 1.
The classes will be held on Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to noon. First Baptist Church of Prosper is located at 601 South Church Street, Prosper, Texas.
Tuition for the five-class term is $150 (does not include supplies)
Each student will provide his/her equipment. A simple supply list will be provided.
"I believe that no one is 'born' an artist," Michael remarks. "Anyone with the desire and discipline can learn to paint watercolors well. We learn to paint by painting. In our classes we attempt to develop each student’s individual style.
"My class lessons place emphasis on the principles of design rather than 'tricks' or popular techniques. We will focus on sketching and painting simple subjects. The goal is for each student to leave each lesson with a completed or nearly complete watercolor painting. We will learn to paint florals, trees, landscapes, seascapes, and simple architectural forms. This series of classes is recommended for adults & teens at all experience levels."
