Yes, Sara Hickman, Austin singer-songwriter, mother, & humanitarian extraordinaire, is appearing at Harmony House Concerts on Friday night, July 25, '08, 7:30-9:30 pm. You may ask, "Why so much fanfare?" The answer is simple:
Sara Hickman has made friends and fans all over this entire globe by spreading her sunshine smile; by sharing her incredible voice, songwriting, and guitar playing; and by opening her heart, mouth, mind, and hands to help others!!
You can make reservations for Sara's show by calling 903/583-2661. Please leave the number of reservations needed and your contact information. The requested donation is $15 per person in advance. To confirm your advance reservation, please make out a check to Sara Hickman and send to Faye Wedell; P.O. Box 812; Bonham, TX 75418. Refunds will be made for all cancellations, if notified by July 21. If you choose to pay at the door, the requested donation will be $18 per person. Harmony House Concerts are held at Wildscape Acres, 10 miles North of Bonham, TX, and approximately 65 miles northeast of Dallas. If directions are needed, please specify when making reservations.
This delightful, casual evening will consist of two 45-minute sets with a break in-between for refreshments. Snacks, dessert & bottomless cups of coffee, juices, and tea will be provided by hosts, Faye Wedell & Scott Lipsett. An optional $1 cash donation per person helps to defray costs....basket on breakfast room table!
A Potluck Dinner for those interested guests will be held at 6:30 pm. The fare will be a Build-Your-Own Taco Salad or whatever your culinary talents lead you to bring. Please state whether you plan to attend this dinner prior to the concert and sign up for an ingredient to bring when making reservations.
After the concert, those wishing to stay for a Song Circle are encouraged to do so....bring your own instruments, voices, or just listening ears! Sara loves to whip out her guitar at parties and campfires to get everyone singing along.
As she says, "It only takes one voice to start a choir."
Out-of-towners are welcome to pitch tents, if wishing to stay the night, with prior notification.
You can learn All About Sara & hear some song clips by visiting her website, http://www.sarahickman.com/ or you can join in the conversation on Zen la la, Sara's web log. Here are some facts about Sara to tantalize you and to raise your awareness:

Toddler, was her follow-up CD. You may think that all this is just too much creativity and energy for any one person....to be real....let me assure you, Sara is very much real! The writer of this article once saw her onstage at Kerrville Folk Festival.....8 months pregnant, belting out lyrics, dancing a jig, and hitting amazing licks on her guitar simultaneously.....the next year, she had her baby with her!!
