1st Annual Melinda Horner Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament set June 28 in Honey Grove

The 1^st Annual Melinda Horner Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament will be held at the Honey Grove Golf Course on Saturday, June 28 beginning at 8 a.m. The tournament will feature a four-person scramble. Cost is $200 per team, 27 hole format. Five Mulligans per team for $15.

The students of Honey Grove Middle School lost their English teacher, Mrs. Horner, due to a fatal car accident in November of last year. She was a school teacher for 27 years and for the last 10 years, has taught the students of Honey Grove. Mrs. Horner had a passion for teaching students to write. Even though she is gone, this scholarship fund will allow her legacy to live on.
