1st Annual Melinda Horner Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament set June 28 in Honey Grove

The 1st Annual Melinda Horner Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament will be held at the Honey Grove Golf Course on Saturday, June 28 beginning at 8 a.m.  The tournament will feature a four-person scramble.  Cost is $200 per team, 27 hole format.  Five Mulligans per team for $15.

The students of Honey Grove Middle School lost their English teacher, Mrs. Horner, due to a fatal car accident in November of last year.  She was a school teacher for 27 years and for the last 10 years, has taught the students of Honey Grove.  Mrs. Horner had a passion for teaching students to write.  Even though she is gone, this scholarship fund will allow her legacy to live on.
