06-06-08  Deputy Kevin Cheairs responded to 3 separate boat burglariesat Little Mineral Marina north of Pottsboro on Lake Texoma.  A Pottsboro man said that someone had entered his boathouse and took some rods & reels valued at $850.00 from his locked storage shed.  Possible suspects were given to Deputy Cheairs.  On the same boathouse, a different slip was entered thru 2-locked gates, which were secure and a bag of tools were taken from a Euless, Texas man valued at $119.00. Also on the same boathouse, different slip a Pottsboro man reported to Deputy Cheairs that someone had taken rods & reels from his slip valued at $250.00.  The investigation into all three of these break-ins is continuing.

 

06-07-08   Deputy Charles Motley responded to a burglary call on Jim Cannon Road near Van Alstyne.  The homeowner advised the residence was under construction while he was gone from the residence someone had entered it and took a riding lawn mower, several sheets of tin and an air compressor all valued at over $3,000.00.

 

06-09-08  Deputies Brent Norris and John Pearson responded to a burglary in progress call on Wainscott Road near Sadler.  Upon arrival the deputies spoke with the occupant of the residence.  They saw a white van pulled up to the door of the residence with the back doors open.  The resident kept going and contacted other family members to see if they had anyone doing work on the house, which they did not.  The resident went back to the residence just as the van pulled out of the driveway.  A tag number was given to the Sheriff’s Office along with a description of the van.  The resident found that someone had kicked the door in and several items were missing.  While taking the report Cpl. Derek Welch was traveling on FM-901 near FM-56 south of Sadler and observed a van matching the description.  The vehicle was stopped and confirmed the tag number.

Two men, Michael Dale Glenn, 28, of Sherman and Robert Don Rozelle, 27, of Sherman were arrested and taken to the Grayson County Jail and charged with Burglary of a Habitation and Possession of Dangerous drugs.

Items taken in the burglary were identified and found in the suspects van along with prescription medication in the suspect’s pocket.
