Pavlina creates dimensional works of art. Dried leaves and flowers, seeds, wood pieces and herbs are the tools she uses - there is no paint used at all.
Born in Bulgaria, Pavlina had a successful career as a published author, literary critic, and a teacher of Bulgarian language and literature. In 1999, Pavlina and her family emigrated to the USA. She started creating "paintings" utilizing natural materials. Her work combines the unique natural beauty of different kinds of leaves with bright, rich colors, and gradating nuances, amazing shapes, lines, and textures.
Pavlina's newest paintings are natural leaf sculptures on clay instead of canvas. The effect must be seen to be "be-leaved!"

Join us for the artist's reception with live entertainment, wine, and snacks, on Saturday, May 17, from 5PM to 8PM. We look forward to seeing you at The Cameron Gallery.
