Bonham -- Carmon O'Dell Nichols, 93, of Bonham went to Cowboy Heaven to be with his soul mate of many years, Mamie and his many friends and animals that have passed on.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 3, 2008 in Arledge Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Wise Funeral Home.  Br. Kevin Lane will officiate.  Carmon passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.

Carmon was born July 3, 1914 in Bonham, Texas, son of William Charley and Ada Nichols.  He married Mamie Lee Busby (Conway), June 2, 1956 in Durant, Okla.  She preceded him in death Dec. 4, 2004. 

Carmon was also preceded in death by two brothers, Will Dean Nichols and Clifton Nichols; three sisters, Elsie Hill, Mavis Hogg and Lois Leeder;  and three stepsons, William Conway, Richard Conway and Sherry Conway.

Surviving are ~

Stepdaughter:  Diane Roy  and husband, Tommy of Yuma, AZ

Stepdaughters-in-law:  Bessie Conway of Bonham

                                    Judy Conway of Ivanhoe

11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren

2 Sisters-in-law and 2 Brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home from 12:30 PM until service time, Saturday.
