Gunter -- Graveside services for Nancy Joan Hill, age 80 of Gunter, formerly of Bonham, will be held at 2:00 Pm Friday, May 2, 2008 in Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery under the direction of Wise Funeral Home.  Pastor Brian Rayburn of the Living Word Church of God in Bonham will officiate.  Nancy passed away early Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Hilltop Haven in Gunter, TX.

Nancy was born August 2, 1927 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Hiram Andrew Riviere and Julia Henderson Dyer Riviere.  She received her Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from the University of Alabama where she was on the diving team.  Nancy was a US Army veteran, serving from 1950 until 1955 and attaining the rank of 1st Lieutenant. She taught 6^th grade English for a number of years and later attended the US Army Physical Therapy training and graduated from Walter Reed Medical Center.  She was a physical therapist with VA Health Care System and enjoyed raising orchids and bowling.   Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, J. D. Riviere and a sister, Pauliann Riviere.

Sons:  Michael Hill and wife, JoJo of Arlington

            Dr. David Hill and wife, Janie of Cuero, TX

Daughter:  Martha Hamilton and husband, David of McKinney

7 Grandchildren:  Julia Drake, Michele Svatos, Dana Shelnutt, Ryan Hill, Corey Hill, Lyndsey Nowles and Zane Hill.

Memorials may be made to Hilltop Haven, 308 College, Gunter, TX 75052.

The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday night.
