Families concerned about higher rates of autism in children living near coal-fired power plants to rally April 30 in Dallas

John Gilmore of Autism United and families concerned about the danger of coal-fired power plants in their communities will hold a rally outside the Federal Courthouse in Dallas at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 30.

Representatives of the University of Texas who will be releasing a study that correlates a higher rate of autism in children living near coal-fired power plants are expected to join the rally.

Three coal-fired power plants are still being planned for Texas despite serious health and environmental concerns. A press conference will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. to discuss the autism study and maps will be available to show which communities will most likely be impacted by emissions from the proposed coal-fired power plants.
