Wolfe City -- The Wolfe City Wolves came out howling and took an early 3-0 lead against the Dodd City Hornets on Tuesday.
The Hornets plated a run in the top of the second stanza, but Wolfe City returned the favor in the bottom half of the frame to make the score 4-1.
Dodd City began whittling away at the lead when the Hornets scored a run in the top of the third and also sent a runner home in the top of the fifth inning to cut the Wolves' lead to 4-3.
Wolfe City answered with a run of their own in the bottom of the fifth and then the Wolves came back to score four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to put a 9-3 win in the books.

Losing Pitcher: Garrett Sadler (DC), 6 1/3 innings, giving up 9 runs, on 9 hits, No walks, and 3 K's. Patrick Moore finished the 6th inning with no runs, and 1 hit.
