Don't miss your last opportunity to watch the Bonham High School Main Street Players perform the classic, Bye, Bye Birdie.  This entertaining ensemble's final production of the famous Broadway hit from 1960 will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 30.

The performance of Bye, Bye Birdie will be in the newly restored auditorium just south of L. H. Rather Junior High School. Ticket prices are $5.00 for adults and students, but two and under get in free.

Bye, Bye Birdie features BHS sophomore Ashleigh Lindsey as Rosie and senior Jordan Toland as Albert Peterson in the leading roles.  The pair of talented young performers is very capably backed by senior Derek Williamson as Conrad Birdie and sophomore Tasha Brown as Kim in the most prominent supporting roles.

But the real treasure of this local production of Bye, Bye Birdie is how it allows two dozen gifted teenagers to share the stage and trade barbs with Bonham High School English III teacher Sara Davis as Mae Peterson and Red River Theatre Actors Gary Sisson and Allison Cardile as Harry and Doris Macafee.   It was a special treat to watch Davis, Sisson and Cardile interact with this cast of rising stars.
